The young person will receive a welcome pack and be allocated a therapeutic keyworker in line with appropriate risk assessments to the individual young person's needs. The Key workers role is to ensure that the child’s needs are met, that talents, enthusiasms and preferences are recognised and developed, and that emotional and psychological issues are understood and worked through.
