We are proud to be part of The Community of Communities. This is a quality improvement and accreditation programme for Therapeutic Communities (TCs) in the UK and overseas. We support other TC’s and receive peer review visits to ensure that we are meeting these standards or to help us improve our home.

 

We provide tailor-made therapeutic support to children to suit their complex individual needs and personality. The on-site therapist is involved with the children’s daily routines and liaises with the care team, professionals and where possible parents/ significant others to ensure that the young person is receiving the highest level of therapeutic care. The therapist completes an assessment of each child upon admission and formulates a therapeutic plan to work on their emotional well-being including; Attachment, early life trauma, anxiety, depression, self-harm, life story and family relationships. The therapist completes group supervision with the team where therapeutic training sets are completed to meet the needs or to follow a method of working with the young person.
